We are running this course in several locations (in different languages). If you do not see a venue near you or cannot attend the course near you but would like to be kept up to date or explore the possibility of running an extra course please contact us.
This course has been designed to help researchers taking their first steps in bioinformatics, giving individuals experience at working on the command line and manipulating large datasets. It will give you more powerful options for data analysis and will increase your productivity. This interactive and hands-on course will introduce you to Linux™, databases and Python™ or Perl™ programming using data sets from the Ion system.
Who should attend — This course is not limited to Ion Torrent™ users, but anybody dealing with NGS data analysis. Molecular biologists and bench scientists with an interest to go beyond the graphic interface will enjoy this course. Explore the open source world associated to bioinformatics with our experts.
At the end of this training, you will receive a USB key with the scripts and examples used during the week. So you can immediately apply what you have learned with your own data.
Course fee includes — Course materials and lunch. Travel and other incidental expenses relating to the training are the responsibility of the attendee.
