Course Content: During this 4-day interactive lecture and laboratory course, students receive training on the Applied Biosystems Quantifiler® Duo Kit and the AmpFâ„“STR® Identifiler® and Yfiler® PCR Amplification Kits. The curriculum emphasizes the importance of combining Applied Biosystems validated Human Identification reagents with instrumentation and software for optimal performance. Attendees utilize the most advanced solutions available for Human Identification applications, including DNA quantification using the Quantifiler® Duo kit and the 7500 Real-Time PCR System, amplification of single source and mixed samples using the AmpFâ„“STR® Identifiler® and Yfiler® kits, and genotyping on the 3130 Series Genetic Analyzer. In addition, hands-on training with the GeneMapper® ID Analysis Software enables analysts to gain a better understanding of how to configure the software and utilize it to reduce the time needed to analyze AmpFâ„“STR® amplification kit data.
